Announcement: Braves 2019 Executive Committee

Following the Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday 10th October 2018, the Braves Ice Hockey Club is proud to announce its 2019 Executive and Management Team.

President: Daniel Fuentes
Vice President: TBA
Secretary: Bianca Cassar
Treasurer: Kieran Gooley
Ordinary Member 1: Andrew McKendrick
Ordinary Member 2: Jesseca Kirwan
Ordinary Member 3: Lindsay Nash
Ordinary Member 4: Justin Powell

The Braves are delighted to announce Daniel Fuentes as incoming President; Daniel brings a wealth of experience in business management, marketing and operations, has been with the club since its founding in 1997, and has served as its Vice President for three years.

In addition to retaining the experience of Bianca Cassar and Jesseca Kirwan, we welcome some exciting fresh faces this year, with Linsday a long-serving member of the Braves, Justin bringing a seasoned perspective from involvement with multiple clubs across the country, and Kieran providing a perspective on organisational management outside of sport.

The Braves would also like to acknowledge the dedication of those committee members stepping out of their current roles.

Thank you to Andrew McKendrick who has stewarded the club as President these past two years. During his tenure, he enjoyed the 2017 IHV Premier A championship winning season, and spearheaded a cultural shift that will set the Braves up for the years to come. Whilst stepping aside from the Presidency, Andrew will continue on as an Ordinary Member.

We also thank Alexander Pak for six years of sound financial management as the Braves Treasurer, Michelle Clarkson, whose service included a year as Secretary, and Michael Best who has been our club Delegate for a number of years. Alex, Shelly and Michael have all offered to continue to contribute to the club through special projects and we appreciate their ongoing support for our initiatives.

Finally, thank you the members who attended Wednesday night’s AGM proceedings – we wouldn’t be here without you.

Go Braves!
